In this paper, we present a decomposition property for the classes of semi B-Fredholm and semi B-Weyl operators, that are comparable in certain form with the Kato Theorem for semi-Fredholm operators. This decomposition property is then used to study perturbations of these classes of operators by commuting operators which have a power of finite range, in particular nilpotent operators.
