Abstract: The operational features of the charger of a high-voltage capacitive energy-storage unit based on a transistor serial resonant inverter in a mode of voltage stabilization on the storage unit are considered. With the use of a mathematical model, the causes and domains of the existence of abnormal charger operation modes in the course of output-voltage stabilization accompanied by magnetic-circuit saturation in a high-voltage transformer, transistor current overload, and excess voltage across the elements of the resonant circuit are established. An algorithm for controlling the transistors of the inverter excluding these modes is proposed. © 2021, Allerton Press, Inc.
