摘要
Pillar[n]arenes have become a research hotspot in recent years. Because of its unique electron-rich cavity and easy functionalization, pillar[n]arenes have been extensively studied as carrier materials for applications in materials science, life science, nanoscience, information science, intelligent science and other fields. In this paper, the synthesis of functional groups of low-order pillar[n]arenes and the main modification methods of their functional groups are introduced. The application and research progress of functional group pillar[n]arenes and extended pillar[n]arenes in fluorescent chemical sensors, synergistic catalysis, targeting drug delivery, artificial transmembrane channels are reviewed. The future research directions and development of pillar[n]arenes are prospected.
