摘要
In the present research, a porous titanium scaffold was prepared by powder metallurgy route. The effect of cold compaction pressure on the morphology and sizes of the pores was investigated by scanning electron microscope (SEM) and optical microscope (OM). The mechanical properties of the porous titanium scaffold were evaluated using compression test. The results indicated that the morphology of macro pores and the amount of micro pores in the struts affected the mechanical properties of porous titanium scaffold. The presence of micro pores in struts made large differences between the experimental results and analytically calculated values of the plateau stress of porous titanium scaffold.
