摘要
Non-profit organizations take a direct part in the life of society, carrying out socially-oriented activities (including activities in such spheres as healthcare, education, cultural education, and others). The civil society institutions are developed by improving the work of the non-profit economy sector. Also, non-profit organizations can act as employers, which has a beneficial effect on the employment level. This paper discusses the functioning features of non-profit organizations in the Volgograd region, including the dynamics of their numbers in recent years, as well as specific features of the formation of their financial resources. The classification of the projects of socially-oriented non-profit organizations submitted for the presidential grant competition in 2019 is considered, and the conclusions about the need for the systematic development of the non-profit economy sector to improve the quality of life are drawn.
