The first (s-aryl)palladium complex stabilized with one IPr N-heterocyclic carbene and one PPh3 ligand has been synthesized via a novel method, structurally characterized, and found to undergo remarkably facile C-C reductive elimination of the 2-phenylimida-zolium cation via phosphine predissociation.
