Domain structure and magnetotransport properties in (Ga,Mn)As wires

摘要
We report the relationship between anisotropic magnetoresistance features and magnetic domain structure in (Ga,Mn)As wires. A magnetoresistance curve of the sample that is patterned into a wire with a constriction demonstrates step-like magnetization behavior in the magnetization reversal process, suggesting the domain-wall pinning due to the constriction in the wire. The wall pinning is observed in the domain images obtained from a magnetic linear dichroism mapping by using a scanning-laser magneto-optical microscope.
