Two Transition Metal Coordination Polymers: Application Values in Treatment and Clinical Nursing Against Glioma

摘要
In this paper, by employing the 4-(1H-2-methylimidazol-1-yl)benzoic acid (HMIBA) ligand featuring both imidazole and carboxylic acid groups, two novel coordination polymers (CPs) based on Cu(II) and Co(II), namely, [Cu(MIBA)(2)](n), (2) and [Co-2(MIBA)(4)(H2O)(6)](n) (1), were synthesized by a reaction between HMIBA and corresponding metal salts in distinct solvent systems. Their application value on the treatment and clinical nursing against gliomas was discussed, and the associated mechanism was investigated. First, the suppression activity on the proliferation of cancer cells was examined. Second, RT-PCR was accomplished for testing the activation levels of signaling pathways of p53 and Rb in cancer cells.
