摘要
Attachment theory has grown to become a crucial paradigm for the study of parent-child relationships, critical in our understanding of early development and of close relationships in general. In the course of its development, this theory has received contributions from Canadian researchers and others from around the world. As an introduction to this special issue of the Canadian Journal of Behavioural Science on Attachment and Developmental Psychology, a brief review of Canadian contributions to this theoretical perspective is provided, together with brief introductions to each article.
