The special issue of Computational Intelligence developed during the first Canadian Semantic Web symposium, held at Québec City, Québec, Canada, in June 2006, aims to bring structured data for computer programs for better understanding and processing. The Semantic Web will contain most of human knowledge in a form that allows some automated reasoning services. It is based on the Resource Description Framework (RDF), which grants each possible object an unique identifier. It describes every concept by a Uniform Resource Identifier (URI), allowing every user express new concepts invented by them, with minimum effort. The RDI also organizes the URIs, enabling users perform some automated reasoning.
