Effect of medium components on β-glucosidase production from Aspergillus niger

Studies in production of cellulase enzyme complex with cellulolytic enzyme producers such as Trichoderma sp. proved that the amount of extracellular beta-glucosidase in the enzyme complex is not sufficient to complete enzymatic degradation of cellulose. To improve the efficiency of enzymatic hydrolysis, supplementation of extracellular beta-glucosidase from Aspergillus sp. was suggested in the previous studies [1]. In this paper extracellular beta-glucosidase was produced by Aspergillus niger BKMF 1305 in shake flasks. The effect of components in the medium was investigated with experimental designs. Nitrogen, glucose and phosphor sources showed significant effect on the extracellular beta-glucosidase production.
