We provide a general framework of multiscale discontinuous Galerkin methods developed in Buffa et al. (2006), Hughes et al. (2006) for general second-order partial differential equations. We establish stability of the method and prove the error estimates. (C) 2014 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
