摘要
Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) is the most common 3D process where parts are created layer by layer. Recently, researchers started to study on the different structure that FDM cannot fabricate such as overhang structure. The objective of this paper is to investigate the manufacturability of the overhang structure at various lengths. The overhang structure is designed and built using the open source 3D printer. Then, the capability of the structure to be produced according to its design is evaluated. Based on this, some recommendation is presented to provide a guideline to the 3D printer user.
