摘要
Rapid progress in micro electro mechanical systems (MEMS) and miniaturization introduced a new field of microfluidics in 1990' s. Micropump is one of the key devices in microfluidics with number of applications includes drug delivery, cooling microelectronic devices, Lab-on-a-Chip and so forth. This paper presents experimental studies of a piezoelectric micro pump with two piezo actuators in a single housing. Set of experiments were performed to determine volumetric flow rate of pumping device and to study the pulsating nature, velocity and flow rate of micro pump at lower frequencies.
