摘要
Organizational citizenship behaviour (OCB) has a positive impact on the organizational performance and effectiveness. The OCB practice would be increased if it is embedded into the organizational culture rather than as an individual initiative. However, most of the previous research in OCB argues the individual relationship rather than collaborative. Therefore, this paper attempts to examine the relationship between organizational commitment and professional learning communities on OCB. A survey was conducted with 363 of academic staffs in Malaysian polytechnic. Pearson correlation and multiple regression analyses indicated organizational commitment and professional learning communities are significant on OCB in organization. Among the four dimensions of professional learning communities, the collective learning and shared leadership were significant towards OCB. However, shared personal practice and supportive conditions were not significant. Besides, both commitment to stay and commitment to leave are significant with OCB. The implications of the study are discussed in relation to academic staff, polytechnics and policy makers
