摘要
This paper is intended to provide an overview of the Payload Ground Safety Review Process used by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) at Kennedy Space Center (KSC) to ensure that payloads and experiments are safe to process prior to launch aboard the Space Shuttle and after returning to Earth. The paper will discuss the evolution of the ground safety requirements, how the review process works, and lessons learned since the start of the Space Shuttle and Space Station Programs.
