摘要
The immense competitive pressure by global competition in the machine tool industry forces the companies to enlarge their efforts in respect to innovations, which is bond with the production of complex and high-tech products. In the meantime the shortening of a product's life cycle leads to the condition that companies are to focus on their service offers in order to ensure an advantage in competition. On this account, the companies need to develop a service network for global service provision, in order that the services may not only have a higher quality but also reach the customer in a shorter reaction time and at a low price, so that the companies can win the competition through the advantage of the Product's Life Cycle based Service support. The article to be launched describes a concept to design a suitable Service network basis of the SCOR model for the Global Distribution of Industrial service on the field of maintenance logistics and spares parts supply along the Life cycle of the machines. Further on it creates possible scenarios in order to design a service network within a service supply chain.
