摘要
A fully digital analog to digital converter (FD-ADC) using the concept of time-based ADC is presented in this work. All-digital ADCs have potential use in very low power ICs especially for IOT applications and can be implemented in digital CMOS technology. They benefit from scaling by using only digital gates. A novel voltage-to-time converter (VTC) with high linearity transforms the input sampled analog signal into pulses with different delays depending on the voltage level of the input signal and a time-to-digital (TDC) block converts the pulse width into digital codes.
