Primary stent placement for infrarenal coral reef aortic stenosis

We report on the outcome of primary stent placement in a 52-year-old patient who suffered from eccentric coral reef infrarenal aortic stenosis. Despite the challenging anatomy for endovascular treatment, with a high risk of aortic rupture, simultaneous implantation of self-expanding and balloon expandable stents was safe and led to improvement in the patient's clinical status, with palpable peripheral pulses after the intervention.
