摘要：

(S)-(+)-alpha-Methoxymethyldihydrocoumarin was synthesized starting from (R)-2-benzyl-3-hydroxypropyl acetate. Consequently, the absolute configuration of the reduced product obtained by radical-mediated reduction of alpha-iodo-alpha-methoxymethyldihydrocoumarin was determined to be R.
