摘要
Ultrasonic vibration assisted grinding (UAG) is an advanced machining technology and many experts have studied it by conducting large numbers of experiments. However, previous studies haven't further researched the kinematic characteristics of UAG in theory. With the aid of the grinding model for UAG, the equation relating the critical velocity is established, the condition of the grinding wheel taking-off the workpiece is analyzed and the forming process of grinding chips is described. By introducing the velocity coefficient K, the change of the grinding wheel in displacement is studied, and its influences on the grinding process are discussed. It is proved that the separability, reciprocating ironing are the major characters of UAG along the tangential direction.
