摘要：
Diabetes mellitus Type 1 (DM1) is caused by a progressive autoimmune destruction of insulin-producing pancreatic beta-cells. The genetic analysis identified HLA and insulin gene polymorphism as major determinants of susceptibility to this disease. It has been suggested that HLA and insulin loci might account for more than 60 % of the familial DM1 clustering.
