摘要
The 316L stainless steel has excellent mechanical properties and corrosion resistance. It is thus promising for producing high performance and high value-added parts. Powder metallurgy (P/M) is the only method for producing self-lubricating bearings/bushings. Two types of high performance self-lubricating bushes have been designed and manufactured using database on die compaction and sintering of 316L stainless steel powders. It was found that the optimum manufacturing conditions were as follows; debinding at 600 degreesC for 60 minutes, under argon atmosphere, and sintering at 1300 degreesC for 30 min. under pure hydrogen atmosphere.
