摘要
The current research focuses on utilization of municipal solid waste incineration ash along with cement and polypropylene fiber to advance the strength and drainage features of clayey soil. Various tests such as consistency limits tests, compaction tests, unconfined compressive strength tests, California bearing ratio tests and permeability tests are performed in the laboratory on various combination of clayey soil along with admixtures. The outcomes of the trial testing disclose that the strength characteristics of clayey soil are enhanced on adding municipal solid waste incineration ash alone and along with other additives thereby resolving its dumping problem thus making well atmosphere. Based on the California bearing ratio results, the mix obtained on addition of municipal solid waste incineration ash along with cement and polypropylene fiber may be effectively used as a sub-grade material thus attaining cost-effective benefits. Finally, the falling head permeability tests revealed the enhancement in drainage features of the clayey soil on accumulation of various admixtures to it.
