摘要
The corrosion of metallic biomaterials made from 316L stainless steel in physiological serum has been explained according to electrochemical theory using the potentiostatic, galvanostatic and cyclic voltammetry methods. The corrosion potential was stabilised at -176 m V after 1000 h of immersion. Potentiostatic measurement shows a passivation current of 80 muA/cm(2), cyclic voltammograms reveal a critical pitting potential (E-cp) about 1600 mV and a pit protection potential (E-pp) about 1300 mV.
