The automated lane-changing model of Intelligent Vehicle Highway Systems

摘要
Current traffic control and management systems are mainly macro-level vehicle coordination control models, not to take into account the factors of the Individual car in the systems. This paper proposes an intelligent lone-changing model of the Intelligent Vehicle Highway Systems. This model is based on traffic density distribution and safety control methods. At last we use simulation software to verify its feasibility and we can see this model can achieve higher traffic throughput and reduce total travel time.
