Analytical HPLC Method for Dorzolamide and Timolol Assay in Ophthalmic Solution: Development, Validation and Application for Drug Product Analysis

This work describes the development and validation of an analytical HPLC method for dorzolamide hydrochloride and timolol maleate in ophthalmic solution. The aim of this research was to achieve a simple, linear, accurate, precise and robust method to be applied in the drug product analysis. At the end of work, the United Stated Pharmacopoeia already had its own encoded method, however, ours shows to be simpler than that, having the operational advantage of analyzing both active ingredients in the same chromatographic system.
