摘要：
In this paper, a novel approach, termed the pi-approach, towards engineering education is presented. The approach revolves around attracting top students and preparing them to be future leaders of tomorrow. Specifically, a new engineering programme, termed Renaissance Engineering Programme (REP), which was launched in 2011 and is now the most popular engineering programme in Singapore, is presented. The REP is an elite programme specially designed and developed to attract bright students to do engineering in Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and prepare them to be future leader in the industry. In this paper, the philosophy, new pedagogy and salient features that underpin the REP will be presented and discussed.
