摘要：
Due to the demand for more powerful photovoltaic irrigation systems, a 3.8 kW permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) is designed and developed. The higher efficiency of PMSMs compared to induction motors is shown. A standard induction motor having a squirrel cage rotor and a permanent magnet rotor are studied. In order to avoid a position sensor an additional rotor cage for ''open loop'' operation is implemented.
