Fuzzy Control For Treadmill Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor Speed System

摘要
In this paper, a high efficient and robust treadmill speed regulation system based on permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) is designed. First, the treadmill load characteristics are analyzed together with the human walking features, so that the speed regulation criteria can be formed. Fuzzy logic control is then used to generate the control rule base and fuzzy based adaptive PID (proportional-Integral-Derivative) control algorithm is developed to improve the stability of the speed regulation system. The DSP chip based PMSM speed regulation hardware design is developed and the test platform is also constructed. Through monitoring the system speed, current and operation noise, the parameters involved in the fuzzy adaptive PID control algorithm can be optimized online. Comprehensive experiments are performed to verify that the whole dynamic performance of the treadmill system can be improved with noise reduction.
