摘要
Collaborative learning allows students to be protagonists of their own learning, along with developing interpersonal skills and communication strategies. This article provides information regarding the use of a collaborative learning approach in database course whit undergraduate students of the Industrial Engineering career, where the interactions are carried out in an integrating environment between physical spaces (real world) and virtual-immersive spaces (metaverses). This allows interactions between: i) real persons, ii) virtual persons (avatars) or iii) a mixture of them (real with avatars). This last type of interaction is the biggest differentiation with the other studies developed. As a result, a learning community made up of students is created, which, even geographically separated, can work (in person or represented by an avatar) together with their classmates, in the development of a common task. Experience that the students value positively, and that it is feasible to replicate in other courses and specialties.
