The Comparison of Satisfaction Level between Face to Face Conference and Teleconference Usage on Employee' Performance

Employee performance is as the result of a work process both in quality and quantity that achieved by a person in performing tasks in accordance with the responsibilities given. The improvement of employee performance is expected by a company manager. In this case, a manager sometimes conducts a conference as a form to monitor the performance of his employees. In addition, the conference held also provides new task and plan in order to realize the vision and mission that must be achieved. This study uses quantitative approach with survey method and purposive sampling technique that is comparative description and analytic. The average value of satisfaction level in the use of face-to-face conference on employee performance improvement is 91% satisfied and 9% is not satisfied. Meanwhile, the average value of satisfaction level in the use of teleconference on employee performance improvement is equal to 76% satisfied and 24% is not satisfied. In addition, the analysis results of the two types of conferences are either face-to-face conference or teleconference with the use of the T test. The results of the analysis show that in the T-Paired-sample test, there are Sig (0.00) < alpha 0.05 or 6.914> 2.015. It can be concluded that the level of significance of 5% shows the relationship between face to face conference and teleconference to improve the performance of lecturers in Potensi Utama University who have functional positions are not similar or different. And in the Chi Square Test, there is Asimp. Sig 0.624> 0.05, it can be concluded that there is no significant relationship between the type of conference with lecturers' performance improvement. This means that conferences held both face-to-face and teleconferences have no correlation with a person's performance level.
