摘要
In the course of digitization, aligner therapy has increasingly established itself as an indispensable alternative in orthodontics in the past 20 years. With increasing experience and a better understanding of biomechanics, the range of indications has advanced from mild crowding and spacing to more complex cases. The further development of orthodontic computer software with regard to the processing of 3D data makes it possible for the dentist to decide today whether the workflow should take place entirely in the practice or in the in-house laboratory, or whether parts of the treatment planning and aligner manufacturing are outsourced to external service providers. The digital workflow for in-house aligner therapy using the OnyxCeph(3) (TM) software is outlined and illustrated using an example.
