The Master's degree as the First Professional Degree

The important aspects of the implementation process with adoption of Policy 465 promulgating the idea of a Master's degree as the lowest level of education for licesnsure is discussed. Instructive overview of the concept, the many issues to be addressed and set of possible models for implementation of the goal are also provided. Focus sessions, Town Hall meetings and a wide range of articles have assisted the effort to become better informed on the issues relative to various proposals. It is suggested that more open communication and discussion among members at state, local and university gatherings are fundamental to embracing change.
