摘要
The paper aims to investigate the perceptions of newly qualified teachers with a Biological Sciences degree on the experience of their participation in the subproject PIBID / Biology - UNIOESTE and the development of activities based on the studies of the Science-Technology-Society approach (CTS). The qualitative methodology included the application of a questionnaire to six former students of that subproject. After the application, the data were analyzed by means of content analysis. The results showed the participants' satisfaction regarding their expectations and the motivations derived from the experience in the program, besides the contributions for the reassertion of their professional choice. The experience in the sub-project also enabled a theoretical and practical reflection on the CTS approach in basic education, by considering its challenges and possibilities.
