摘要：

A series of 3-substituted-4-(5-nitro-2-furfurylidene) amino-5-mercapto-1,2,4-triazoles (3) and their Mannich bases (4) were synthesized. The structure of these compounds were established on the basis of elemental analysis, H-1 NMR and mass spectral data. The newly synthesized compounds were evaluated for their antibacterial activities. The title compounds are highly active against Gram-positive bacteria at 5 mu g/ml concentration.
