摘要
Student-centered learning has been recognized as an effective approach giving students opportunities to actively involve in their learning. Having students co-create activities will further increase learning value. However, it is not necessary to involve the students fully in all activities. Presented in this paper is an approach for helping educators determine the level of participation based on students' interests. The approach focuses on students' perception and interest in participation, and Kano questionnaire is applied to extract information. The proposed approach has been applied to two graduate courses in Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering for illustration. The results show that students were interested in co-creating some class activities like topic selection for projects, and preferred instructors to handle activities like formulations of homework and exam problems.
