摘要：

This paper is a conceptual piece which seeks strategic initiative to be used by hospital industry in achieving a sustainable competitive advantage. Hospital service is dynamic in nature; thus it requires knowledge and thoroughness since it involves health care-related patient safety. It also requires TQM to understand the patient and their family needs as the driver to conduct improvement that effect the organization improvement. By linking TQM strategic initiatives and Knowledge Management, it is expected that the ability of hospitals in making innovation which will have an impact on the achievement of hospital's competitive advantage will be affected.
