摘要：
The authors present a summary of the work that has been done at the NSF coalition schools. In addition, recent changes of the "Standards and Routes to Registration" in the United Kingdom and the different issues involved with the new ASCE policy statement for the first professional degree are discussed. The purpose of this paper is to stimulate further discussion of these important topics.
