摘要
We analyze effects of noise on the dynamics of a excitatory-inhibitory (EI) cortical model with finite range connections. The dynamics is studied both analytically and with numerical simulations. Both the case of periodic boundary conditions and the more plausible case of open boundary conditions are considered. In a proper parameter regime, noise induces synchronous and phase-locked oscillations. (C) 2004 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
