摘要
This paper presents an e-design approach by using Internet and MATLAB as tools for developing a web based aerostatic bearings design support system. Through an exemplar of remote design of the aerostatic journal bearings, the detailed implementation of the MATLAB-based web design support system is described. The implementation demonstrates how to use MATLAB in the Internet/Intranet environment for engineering design applications in particular.
