摘要
The investigation of journal rotation and bearing surface waviness on the dynamic performance of aerostatic journal bearings is presented in this paper. The linear perturbation theory and an iterative procedure are proposed to solve the unsteady Reynolds equation. The bearing dynamic stiffness and dynamic damping under various operating parameters are numerical calculated. The results show that journal rotation can play an important role in bearing dynamic performance. The vertical principal stiffness and principal damping of the pure aerostatic journal bearing have a significant dependence on perturbation rotational speed. The influence of surface waviness on bearing dynamic characteristics is notable. With the growth of the wave's amplitude, the absolute values of dynamic stiffness and dynamic damping can be increased clearly.
