System approach to the definition of the port container terminal

摘要
In this paper the basic features of a port container terminal, based on the contents of a technological process, from unloading, loading, stacking of containers and providing other services in connection with container traffic, are analyzed using the methodology of general systems. In this connection, the following have been defined: a set of quantities and resolution level, activity, behaviour, UC-structure and ST-structure of the port container terminal system. The methodology outlined facilitates decision-making during work in the port container terminal, with the aim of achieving its optimal functioning.
