摘要
In this letter, a new analytical method is presented for designing a quasi-uniform leaky-wave antenna (QULWA) with very low sidelobe level (SLL). To the best of the authors' knowledge, a similar method has not yet been reported. The presented method leads to a general closed formula that can be used by antenna designers. For verifying of the obtained formula, a sample QULWA has been designed, simulated, and fabricated. The obtained data from simulation and measurement are compared with each other. The comparison of results shows that there is a good agreement between them. Also, the measurement results show that the structure has an SLL better than -45 dB.
