摘要
Thermogravimetric analysis of karanja (Pongamia glabra) and neem seeds (Azadirachta Indica) at 20 degrees C/min, 25 degrees C/min in the air, and 25 degrees C/min in N-2 atmosphere was studied and kinetic parameter (activation energy) was determined by using thermogravimetric curves. The results showed that karanja and neem seeds can be characterized as high calorific value and high volatile matter content biomass materials. Kinetic analysis of karanja and neem seeds was also given meticulous attention. Karanja and neem seeds have the potential either to be converted into bio-fuels, useful chemicals feedstock, or used as fuel for energy.
