摘要
The work presented in this paper investigates the design of optimal control to suppress vibrations in a structure with limitations on the actuator forces. The limits on the control ensure realistic results. The objective functions used for the two approaches were minimum time and the quadratic performance index. The minimum time system is convenient to adopt when the number of actuators is equal to the number of degrees of freedom in a sructural model used for control design. The LQR with bounded control can be used even when the number of actuators is smaller than the number of degrees of freedom. The transient responses of the two approaches are compared. An idealized wing structure with 24 degrees of freedom and four actuators was studied with different limits on the control forces and control weighting parameters. The criteria selected for comparison for control designs were the root mean square responses and the total deviation.
