摘要
The present study is focused on the synthesis of hexadecyltrimethyl ammonium encapsulated silicovanadate [C19H39N](HSiV10O28) by sol-gel and hydrothermal method. The compounds have been characterized using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), Scanning electron microscope (SEM), thermogravimetry-differential scanning calorimetry (TGA/DSC), and UV-visible spectroscopy. Antibacterial trial shows that the synthesized compounds have a potential synergistic effect with beta-lactam antibiotics against uropathogenic Escherichia coli to treat urinary tract infection.
