摘要
In this paper, the dynamical model is derived based on a statical machining mechanics focused on the cutting force. We consider the case that a workpiece is made from 2 kinds of material. From the analysis and numerical simulations of cutting process using static mechanics, the cutting force is shown to vary like a half ellipse when the cutting tool moves within the boundary area of that workpiece. Based on this result, a nonlinear dynamical model is derived between the direction of the cutting force vector and the tool position to the boundary. From the numerical simulations, it is shown that the tool can follow the unknown boundary automatically using this model. Lastly, some experiments are shown to confirm these results.
