No 198 in the series is Geum rivale, a widespread perennial pubescent herb occurring in marshy meadows, wet deciduous woods, on stream banks and wet rock ledges in mountains. After outlining morphological features, further sections review current knowledge on: geographical and altitudinal distributions (with both UK and European distribution maps); habitat requirements; communities in which the plant is recorded; response to biotic factors; response to environment; phenology; floral and seed characters; herbivory and disease; and history.
