摘要
The aim of this study is to analyze the health claims of a local insurance company in Brunei Darussalam by examining the trends in claims amounts that could assist the company identify the causes of large claims. The data from the claims experiences of Insurance Company Z was used in the analysis. From the findings, the company charges the same premium for all age groups. Despite middle and old age groups being the least dominant, in terms of number of claims, their claims amounts are significantly and comparatively more than the young age group. This is attributed to the fact that they are more likely to acquire the claim than their young counterpart.
